Kazaa have announced the release of their new playlist feature, previously the Kazaa site has run a beta version of the feature to capture the intrigue of current and potential customers but after the engineers have re-tweaked their baby it now will contain over 500,000 playlists, playlists favoriting and DJ favoriting. So if you like Lady Gaga or Slipknot you can now have your say with Kazaa.

This announcement is among the first phase of a steady roll-out of features which included greater social network tools and their new Kazaa player. The playlist feature adds another link into the online utopia that the company eventually aims to become. Kazaa is not only a place where you can just download music, but now become a radio star with your own legion of fans.

Of the plethora of new playlists what is noteworthy is the featured section where I found playlists specific to artist, genre and theme such as Chick Music and Beats. This excellent innovation allows the user to press one button and have access to music that they desire without searching and selecting from Kazaa’s 1.8 million track library.

You can favorite the playlists that you like with the number one being featured by Kazaa. The people will also decide who is the number DJ on the site, so if you think you have what it takes jump online and show America what you’ve got.
